Release An Uncurable Sars/Coronavirus Like Bioweapon That Mutates, Spreads Rapidly and Infects Almost Everyone Constantly.
Pulling off a world war where a global power exchange takes place is almost impossible without waking up a large percentage of the population who then become enemies. 9/11 was huge for many people, as it awoke them to the possibility that something was not right and that events like this are planned.
For this global war to go down smoothly, a multi step approach has to be taken.
The first step would be to release a biological weapon like SARS or Coronavirus. The purpose of gain of function research on Coronavirus would be to engineer a virus that was so transmissible and so mutative that it would not go away and become endemic once it spread. The goal would be to keep citizens afraid and fearful, and told to stay inside while instituting lockdowns. As long as people were dying, a population would be complacent about staying inside and watching the following economic collapse of the globe.
Finally, after three years of the pandemic, the global economy would be decimated and the population would be willing to take whatever it took for their freedoms to be given back to them.
